an object at rest

Dear friends,
please recognize that sometimes when a passing car slows down and stops,
you must get in before it drives away.

You may pat yourself on the back and say "quelqu'un." I give you permission.
but an object at rest tends to remain at rest;
and an object in motion tends to remain in motion
at the same speed, unless acted on by an unbalanced force.

I am as unbalanced as they come, but unwilling to put my brickfoot in the door.
I will not play Sisyphus with the boulder that is your life.
I will not be the dutch boy, Robin Hood, or Theo Van Gogh.
and besides, i try to be careful not to think of others as objects.
else i would tend to get slapped.
